  • Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Blade Runner vintage movie posters. Film/Art Gallery offers a wide range of movie posters and artwork for cinema's ultimate science fiction films.

Science fiction based Blade Runner is a 1982 film directed by Ridley Scott, and written by Hampton Fancher and David Peoples. The script is based on the 1968 novel by Philip K. Dick's 1968 entitled Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. Blade Runner stars Harrison Ford, Sean Young, Rutger Hauer and Edward James Olmos. The film is set in a 2019 dystopian future of Los Angeles in which replicants are bio-engineered by Tyrell Corporation. The suspenseful story follows a Roy Batty (Hauer), an escaped fugitive who heads to Earth and is hunted by the burnt-out cop Rick Deckard (Ford).

The film initially underperformed in North American theaters but later became an acclaimed cult film as a leading example of neo-noir cinema. The film's soundtrack, which was composed by Vangelis, was nominated in 1982 for a BAFTA and a Golden Globe for best original score. The film brought the work of Philip K. Dick to Hollywood and became the basis for the films Total Recall (1990), Minority Report (2002) and A Scanner Darkly (2006). Blade Runner won the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation and was selected for preservation in the U.S. National Film Registry in 1993. A sequel was released in October 2017 entitled Blade Runner 2049, and Blade Runner itself has seven different versions including a director's cut in 1992. Notably, it was one of the earliest movies to be released on DVD.

Warner Bros. released The Final Cut in 2007 with a 25th-anniversary digitally re-mastered version, which is the only version over which Scott had retained artistic control.

Film/Art Gallery’s collection of original Blade Runner movie posters include a 30x40 of Blade Runner in Fine/Very Fine condition, unfolded with scattered faint creases at the top and bottom. This is a somewhat scarce size and format for the classic Ridley Scott film. The poster artwork is by John Alvin. Our Blade Runner poster collection also includes a 1 Sheet (27x41) in Very Fine condition with minor fold wear and John Alvin artwork. This version of the poster Ridley Scott's modern sci-fi classic is the NSS version or printing.

Film/Art Gallery movie posters are original prints and film poster collectibles. These are original movie posters. We do not carry any movie poster reproductions or reprints of any kind.
