Bad Blonde (1953), is a black-and-white British film, directed by Reginald Le Borg. With the collaboration of Hammer Film Productions, the film stars Tony Wright, Barbara Payton, Frederick Valk, and Sid James. Also called The Flanagan Boy, it was based on the novel of the same name by Max Catto. The story revolves around a boxing promoter named James and a young boxer named Wright, who James takes under his wing in an attempt to launch a comeback into prizefighting. He acquires the backing of a wealthy Italian named Valk, but problems start to rise when the fighter develops romantic affair with the millionaire's wife named Payton.

Rocky (1976) is an American sports drama film, directed by John G. Avildsen, starring Sylvester Stallone. The heavyweight boxing world champion during that time, Apollo Creed, reveals that he is planning to hold a title bout in Philadelphia during the upcoming United States Bicentennial. However, he is informed five weeks from the fight date that his intended opponent is not able to compete due to an injured hand. Some of the possible substitutions booked up or otherwise unavailable, Creed decides to spice things up by giving a local contender a chance to challenge him, and that is Rocky. Then the story from rags to riches of an American Dream story of Rocky Balboa, an unschooled, kind-hearted working class American-Italian boxer, doing a job as a debt collector for a loan shark in the slums of Philadelphia begins.

The Greatest (1977), a film about the life story of boxer Muhammad Ali, where Ali plays himself. It was directed by Tom Gries. It illustrate Muhammad Ali’s life where he enters the Summer Olympics in 1960, where he won the heavyweight crown from George Foreman in their famous "Rumble in the Jungle" fight in 1974. The material of the boxing matches themselves is generally the actual footage from the time involved.
